November News

Shamrock Lifeline of November:
Grateful

I can't believe it's already November. I think I keep saying that each month, but this year is flying by! We have some very important things coming up in November.

We had our first Shamrock Celebration right before Fall Break. Many students were awarded for Perfect Attendance. I am pleased with how well the students' attendance has been going so far this year. We have not had too many absences. Also at Shamrock Celebration we crowned our first Prince and Princess of Procedures. I chose a boy and a girl who always followed hallway procedures without having to be reminded. This nine weeks I chose Bryce T. and Mikalen I. Congratulations to these two.

Colder Weather
Please be sure you are sending your child to school with proper outside wear. We go outside everyday, twice a day, for recess. The only time we will not go outside is if it is below 32 degrees or snowing. If your child does not have a coat please let me know.

Report Cards
If you have not already returned your child's report card envelope please do so by Wednesday, November 7. We will reuse these envelopes for every nine weeks, so I need them back. If you have any questions regarding your child's report card please contact me.

Also, be sure you are working on the things your child has not mastered yet. We will reassess anything that wasn't mastered the first nine weeks. If you need more suggestions on how to help your child at home please feel free to contact me.

Homework
Please be sure your child is returning their homework calendar at the end of the month. I keep track of who is completing the monthly homework.

Field Trip
We will be going on our second field trip this month. We are planning a trip to Dull's Tree Farm at the end of November. Look for more information coming home, in the next couple of weeks, in your child's VIP folder.

Fruit Feast
In honor of Thanksgiving we will be having a fruit feast in our classroom. Each child will be assigned a fruit to bring in and then we will mix it all together and enjoy a lovely feast together. I will be sending home more information in the next week or two, so you can get the fruit items ready. This will be a fun time for the students.

No School
We will be out of school for Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 22 and Friday, November 23.
